What are hot-dipped galvanised trusses?
This is a coating method that prevents steel corrosion by dipping steel in molten zinc bath. As the steel is in contact with zinc, it galvanises with the base metal chosen. The coating method is unique as it creates a metallurgic bond with the surface area of the metal that allows long lasting protection for steel as compared to paint coatings.
Galvanised coating also greatly protects metal from abrasion.
In the case of any damage to the zinc coating, protection is maintained with the cathodic action of the surrounding galvanised coating. Surely, it is a tough coating.

Galvanisers Association of Australia has set galvanising standard 4680 for Australia and New Zealand which ensures reliability of the galvanised coating’s safety and resilience.
Not only giving the best protection for the trusses, hot dip galvanising also provides the lowest maintenance cost over longer time and ease of inspection as it is assessed readily by eye and by simple, non-destructive thickness testing methods.
