The event has been raising money for the community for more than 20 years

The South Gippsland Dairy and Farming Expo began to feature as part of the dairy Australia landscape in 2000. It acts as a central resource for local dairy farmers. In its early years, the Lions Club of Strzelecki organised event acted as an opportunity for farmers to meet and conduct business quickly and efficiently.

Today, the Expo is still focused on the dairy industry, but it’s a bigger event that stands out on the South Gippsland dairy farming calendar. It provides an opportunity for members to showcase the latest in dairy innovation and technology, and services available to the dairy industry.

The Lions Club of Strzelecki arranges and manages the event with the help of volunteers and the local community. The organisation has distributed around $600,000 amongst local community programmes through its activities. Anyone who wants to know more about this year’s South Gippsland Dairy and Farming Expo organised by the club should get in touch with their event secretary Deanne Kennedy for more information.
