Client Overview

McPhails Furniture is a family-run business with more than 50 years of history in regional Victoria. What began in 1969 as a furniture removals and auction business in Wangaratta has grown across three generations into a modern retailer with a flagship Wangaratta showroom and a strong online operation.

In recent years, the brothers leading the business made a strategic decision to consolidate operations, focusing on a strong online store supported by the single flagship showroom and a centralised distribution operation. Delivering on the two-week delivery promise that underpins the brand required a facility that could hold the full product range, handle high inbound and outbound volumes, and bring administration, logistics planning and operational control under one roof.

Key Outcomes

Entegra delivered the project as a complete turnkey build, managing design, engineering, approvals, procurement and construction under one contract.

The facility was designed around the day-to-day operation of the business. Double-storey offices were integrated on site, keeping administration, logistics planning and operational control close to the warehouse floor. High-clearance storage was configured with shelving, racking systems and bulk storage areas to make the most of the available footprint and keep product accessible and organised.

Dedicated docking bays, roller doors and drive-through vehicle access were built into the layout to reduce handling time, improve truck turnaround and keep the loading and unloading process moving without bottlenecks.

The McPhails Furniture facility now operates as a single, coordinated site, supporting the speed and reliability that the brand's two-week delivery promise depends on.
