Client Overview
G1 Logistics is the warehousing and linehaul arm of GTS Group, the family-owned freight business founded in Mildura in 1980. From a small fleet of trucks servicing local wineries, the group has grown into one of Australia's largest wine, beverage and FMCG transport distributors, with a national fleet and operations across every capital city except Darwin.
With demand for temperature-controlled pallet space continuing to grow, G1 needed a new facility that could expand capacity without the cost and energy load of full refrigeration, hold product at a sustained, moderate ambient temperature year-round, and operate at a level of efficiency that matched the group's national distribution operation.

Key Outcomes
G1 Logistics now operates a fully robotic 11,600m² temperature-controlled storage facility, with all internal movements handled by robotic pick-and-pack and put-away technology and autonomous forklifts. The warehouse runs from the office rather than the floor, positioning the business to grow its temperature-controlled pallet capacity without scaling labour at the same rate.
Cool-room cladding and a fully insulated roof hold the internal temperature passively, reducing the active cooling required and cutting energy costs against a traditional refrigerated build. Sitting close to the wineries it serves, G1 holds product at temperature from cellar door through to dispatch, protecting quality through the supply chain.
Entegra delivered the building, measuring 50m by 200m with an 8m x 200m canopy, as part of a wider facility construction managed by a head contractor. The footprint was maximised by splitting the building into two fire compartments, with multiple regulatory dispensations applied, allowing G1 to use every square metre without compromising compliance.
