The science behind the Ridgeback technology

With advancements at the core of its design, Entegra has created a new barn that has surpassed all desires. Designed with science in mind, the game-changing Ridgeback™ offers more than your traditional barn.

Australian Technology

The barn contains a concave curved roof. It has been designed this way to provide great aesthetics and give the Ridgeback™ a unique state-of-the-art style. Yet at the same time, it enables great functionality to the design. Inside the barn is the Ridgeback’s self-ventilating structure. The patented technology of the ventilation is working towards increasing natural ventilation without utilising mechanical means. It provides living livestock with a structure that allows heat to evaporate, allowing for greater comfort.

A total of at least 20% more air changes occurs per hour inside the Ridgeback™ technology.

This means the air changes occurring within the structure can potentially be used during the hot summers to prevent heat stress to livestock. Animal welfare and farm productivity is what has driven the development of this design.

The Ridgeback™ has hot-dipped galvanised trusses. This is a standard option for the Ridgeback technology, providing great durability and the ultimate steel finish to the design. Entegra has also been able to provide customers with an alternative to the Ridgeback™. Customers are able to customise their own Ridgeback™ and Entegra has done this with the goal that productivity and functionality are maximised.

Another feature within the Ridgeback™ is the high level of flexibility on offer. A Ridgeback™  structure can have endless customisation options, including eaves overhangs and canopies. We design around your Feedlot/dairy layout and take into account all feed and flush lanes to make it as efficient as possible.

Overall, the Ridgeback™ has outperformed other barns in the industry. With its latest technology and science behind the design, Entegra has definitely made a game-changing design with its latest Signature Structure.
