Lot Feeders Have the Chance to Connect at BeefEx 2022

There is much excitement amongst Australian lot feeders after the announcement by the Australian Lot Feeders’ Association (ALFA) that BeefEx will return this year.

The biennial event was cancelled in 2020 and this is the first time it has been held since then. The lifting of COVID-19 restrictions means that BeefEx 2022 will take place at the Brisbane Showgrounds from 18 October to 20 October.

The aim of hosts ALFA is to make this year’s event bigger and better than ever.

What to Expect from BeefEx 2022

As industry leaders, ALFA host the event on behalf of lot feeders in Australia. The organisation compiles the list of influential speakers and finalises the program of social events to take place.

The full speaker and social programs have yet to be finalised for this year’s event. However, ALFA has promised that they will be as information packed and inspirational as expected at BeefEx. Once more information is available it will be published on the BeefEx website for potential attendees to view.

BeefEx 2022 is expected to attract more than 400 delegates from across Australia and international locations. These delegates will, as usual, include feedlot operators and associated professionals such as nutritionists, veterinarians, regulators, service providers, and transport operators.

There are expected to be around 50 trade sites at the two-day event with a myriad of opportunities for industry professionals to learn about the latest initiatives and technology and to network with fellow professionals.

An opportunity for connection, inspiration, and motivation

The networking possibilities of BeefEx 2022 are more important than ever following the restrictions imposed during the COVID-19 pandemic. These restrictions made it difficult for feedlot operators and others in the industry to connect with each other.

Now, they have the opportunity to do just that. This will help to inject a renewed sense of positivity and optimism in an industry that has been severely tested over the last two difficult years.

Those lot feeding sector professionals who attend BeefEx 2022 will leave the event feeling motivated, informed, and better connected.

Awards at BeefEx 2022

The latest BeefEx event also gives the grain fed industry an opportunity to celebrate its recent achievements and to recognise excellence with a selection of awards. The awards that will be presented at the event are:

  •       Young Lot Feeder of the Year Award
  •       Excellence in Feedlot Education Medal
  •       Award for Innovation
  •       Community Heroes Award
  •       Communicate Your Research Competition.

The idea of these awards is to recognise the significant amount of diverse talent that exists within the feedlot industry. They will identify those individuals who are adding value to the industry and who are helping to nourish their local community and environment.

Taking into account the exciting array of exhibitors and speakers who will be present, and the awards for excellence in the industry, BeefEx 2022 is set to be unmissable experience. Anyone who is interested in attending can do so by registering at the event website.
