HOW TO KNOW WHAT YOU NEED IN A SHED

For those that are new to the shed industry, you have probably realised that there is an abundance of options to choose from.  Understandably, this can be confusing, and without the proper guidance, one can be left feeling slightly overwhelmed when it comes to choosing the right shed for their industry.  As a result, we’ve put together a guide for your convenience.  Below you will see 6 points designed to help you through the selection process.

1.  Type of shed

It is imperative to consider the type of shed you require.  You should investigate the needs of your industry and the importance of having a shed in your given industry.  For example, in the dairy industry, a shed should have adequate ventilation and ensure comfort of the herd. To see how your industry may benefit from having a quality shed, you can read the following blog HERE.

2.  External factors (weather and environment) that might affect your shed

After you have thought about the type of shed you require, you should be contemplating the types of external factors this structure may encounter, and most importantly, if it is designed to withstand them. External factors include rain, strong winds and even sunrays.  Our sheds are specifically built to cater for these conditions.  We use a special designed box gutter to help reduce the risk of broken downpipes.  Furthermore, this assists with minimising earthwork costs and stock damage from the ingress of water.

3.  Required timeframe

The timeframe required from purchasing through to the completion of the project must be considered.  It is crucial for any business to know how long a project of this nature might take.  At Entegra, we have over 30 years of experience in the shed building industry. Therefore, our team of professionals can provide you with an accurate estimation of the time required to build your shed.  Feel free to contact us here (contact us page link) if you would like to gain a better understanding of the timeframe and process

4.  Engineering-specific requirements

What type of engineering-specific requirements might the shed need?  From building sheds in the snow, to developing sheds that use our signature Ridgeback™ design, we understand the need for an engineering eye.  Our sheds are built from scratch and our highly-trained engineers are ready to incorporate the necessary alterations required to cater to each clients’ needs.

5.  Using your shed for other purposes

Can your shed be utilised for other purposes, or is it limited to cater solely for the function specified in your original plan?  These types of questions should be considered before committing to purchase a shed.  Perhaps you can find a dual purpose for it? For example, building a shed slightly larger might allow you to have greater access to storage.

6. Neighbours

When planning to erect your shed you should not neglect to think of your neighbours.  If you have neighbours living nearby to the shed, giving them adequate notice is correct etiquette.

At Entegra we always ensure that we our providing our clients with sheds of the highest quality.  We design, build, develop and construct our sheds based on the original conceived idea of the client.  If you require advice or assistance with your next project, feel free to contact us HERE and one of our friendly professionals will be pleased to help you out!
